Location: Failsworth Soccer Centre, directly across the road from Co-op Academy Failsworth, M35 9HA.
Thursday sessions take place at the Soccer Centr …moree across from the school—not on the MUGA within the academy’s main grounds.
PARKING
Please use the Failsworth Soccer Centre car park.
Do not park in the neighbouring gym or leisure facility car park. This is monitored by cameras, and unauthorised parking may result in a parking charge.
Please arrive approximately 5–10 minutes before the advertised start time so your child can become familiar with the environment without feeling rushed.
PITCH AND FOOTWEAR
Thursday sessions may take place on grass or artificial turf, depending on the allocated playing area and conditions.
Children may wear comfortable trainers or suitable moulded football boots. Metal studs are not permitted. If you are uncertain, trainers are the safest and most versatile option.
PREPARING FOR THE SESSION
Please bring:
* A clearly labelled drink
* Comfortable sports clothing
* A waterproof layer in wet weather
* Warm layers during colder months
* Sun cream and suitable protection during warmer weather
* Any essential sensory or regulation item your child may need
* Any essential medication, such as an inhaler, which must remain with the parent, carer or responsible support adult unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance
Sessions operate outdoors throughout the year. We will only cancel or alter a session in exceptional conditions, such as lightning, extreme heat, severe rain, ice or an unsafe playing surface. If a session must be cancelled, BTG will contact booked families directly.
Parents and carers are welcome to remain and watch. For a child’s first session, we strongly recommend that a parent, carer or responsible support adult remains on site. Children may observe, take breaks and join activities at their own pace—there is no pressure to participate immediately or complete every activity.
Please ensure all relevant communication, sensory, medical, behavioural and support information is completed during booking so our coaches can prepare appropriately.
A parent, carer or responsible support adult must accompany any child who requires assistance or supervision with toileting or personal care.
If you have difficulty locating the venue on arrival, please contact Marc on 07920 397620.

Inclusive football coaching for children with SEND or additional needs who are ready for more structured activities, instructions and team games.
Sessions combine football skill development with enjoyable challenges and small-sided games. Coaching is adapted to help every child participate comfortably, build confidence and progress at their own pace.
Sessions support the development of:
Football skills and coordination
Confidence and independence
Listening and decision-making
Communication and teamwork
Friendships and belonging
Emotional regulation
Children are never pressured to participate before they feel ready. Regulation breaks and reasonable adjustments are always available, and parents or carers are welcome to stay and support where helpful.
Age ranges are a guide rather than strict entry criteria. Placement is based on each child’s confidence, communication, support needs and readiness for structured coaching.
No formal diagnosis or previous football experience is required.
First session free.
